Puma CVX Adds to Case IH Awards at the Royal Show
2009-07-17

Case IH has won three awards at the final Royal Show. In addition to the two awards won by the Case IH’s flagship Axial-Flow combine range, a Silver Award was also bestowed on the Puma CVX tractor in the new products category.

The awards were presented to Mr Blessley (centre) by Simon Longhurst, managing director of Through The Night, and Mrs Adel MacNicol, president of RASE.

“We are particularly pleased with this award as it is recognition of the Puma CVX’s superior technology and subsequent benefits including performance, fuel saving and comfort,” said Case IH marketing manager, Charles Blessley.

The awards were presented to Mr Blessley by Simon Longhurst, managing director of Through The Night, the award’s main sponsor and Mrs Adel MacNicol, president of RASE.

Pat Kenny, Case IH product manager for the Puma CVX highlighted the key features that most impressed the judges. “The new second-generation CVX transmission is simply to use and offers great real-world benefits to users. 50kph is achieved at a fuel-sipping 1550rpm engine speed, and the transmission’s four gear ratios ensure it’s efficient across the full range of speeds.

“Add to this class-leading features such as its Active Hold, Automatic Productivity Management, the super quiet 69dB Surround-Vision cab and the intuitive new Multicontroller armrest and it’s easy to see why this machine has made such a big impact.”

Axial-Flow combine
Case IH’s flagship Axial-Flow combine range also won two awards in the RASE Machinery Award Scheme. The unique awards are based on the experiences of commercial operators using the Axial-Flow 10 Series, which was recently upgraded to the advanced Axial-Flow 20 Series.

Winning a Silver Award for its small tube rotor technology and ‘Power Plus’ transmission drive, the Axial-Flow combine also won the Health and Safety Executive Award, presented to an entry that improves safety through design.
