With its
178 local syndicates, 16 regional federations, 209 specialized syndicates
and 21 specialized federations, the UPA is the sole official spokesperson
for all Quebec farmers.
OCA is a
grassroots organization which provides leadership to cattlemen from
all sectors of the industry. OCA was formed in 1963 under the name "Ontario
Beef Improvement Association".
For almost
70 years the Association, whose membership is close to 2,000, has
represented the interests of beef cattle producers in B.C., working
from the grass roots.
