British Charollais Sheep Society

The breed originates in France from the famous Saone et Loire area where it runs alongside the Charolais cattle. The breed was developed in the 19th Century from local breeds crossed with the British Dishley Leicester.

Imported into the UK over 20 years ago, the Charollais has been imported into many countries, and most recently into Canada.
